My heated rollers blow the electrics
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM
Please can someone tell me why when I plug my heated rollers in after a few minutes they blow the electrics downstairs in my home. Then I have to use the trip switch to put on the electrics. Thank you

You could have a fault with your rollers

Im presuming you have an RCD protected fuse board, the reason it trips is because it is very very sensitive to any type of electrical fault and over time things start to break down and even though your rollers may seem to work fine they are causing a fault and tripping the circuit. you will either need to replace them or get them repaired otherwise you would have to get a separate circuit fitted that is not part of the rcd circuit to stop this but it would not really be cost effective to do this.
