Covering caps to conceal two bolts

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.50 PM

We have had a new white front door installed recently, but when they fitted the knocker, two bolts are sticking out on the inside. this is very unsightly, can we get covers for these? --- The door is uPVC.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hello, as your door is upvc, they would have been unable to surface mount the knocker. However they should have used "Acorn Cap Nuts" for the inside which are decorative nuts available in many colours to match your door furniture. I hope this helps, Kind Regards

Is this a wooden door or upvc? If it's wooden, then the bolts can be cut slightly shorter to allow the bolt heads to be countersunk into the door and they can then be covered with wooden or plastic caps, however leaving them proud of the door won't allow them to be covered.
