Small porch extension and downstairs wc

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM

I currently have a cupboard next to my front door (internally) and also an open porch (externally) with roof and just wood sides. I would like to extend out to where current open porch is with a closed porch (out about 1m from door) and across front where cupboard is. So an exstension of 1m x 2m. I want a downstairs toilet and small hand basin installed where the cupboard was once it has been extended out. The bathroom upstairs is above the downstairs cupboard so I assume putting in a downstairs toilet with regards to pipes etc should be straight-forward. Has anyone had anything like this done before (or a similar size)? Would I need planning permission? Thank you in advance

Hi The job is one we've undertaken a few times. And is do able It depends on your local council as there isn't a uniform stance on wether permission is needed or not. It could be done on owner planning rights. But your council is the defining rule. Best of luck. And. I'm sure through my builder you will have confidence in getting the right qualified builder. Dave
