Mosaic tiles on a 500x600mm 12mm plywood microwave fascia

I want to put some 15mm square mosaic tiles on a 12mm plywood fascia. It will take less than 2 sheets of 300x300 after allowing for the hole for the microwave. Do I need to seal the plywood and do I need to use a flexible adhesive for such a small job?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

First thing ,make sure the ply is fixed solid them prime with SBR not PVA then use a cement based flexable adhesive,if you have not fixed the ply yet I would recommend to use cement backer board much better surface to tile on as ply can be very problematic.
