Central Heating

Ariston Combi Boiler is working for heating but not hot water.

I have reset the boiler, upped the pressure to 1.5 as it was below 1, changed the battery in the wall panel. But the heating is coming on as usual. But when we try the hot water tap the light does not come on the boiler and it doesnt fire up. do you think this is an issue with the pump?

If the boiler fires up in 'heating' mode then your pump is working correctly, if the boiler operates successfully in this mode but not in 'hot water' mode this eliminates many possible faults. Suggest you contact a Gas Safe boiler breakdown engineer to investigate and make good repair(s)
