putting ceramic tiles on my uneven kitchen floor

Hi, I would like to put ceramic tiles down on my kitchen floor but the floor is uneven and was thinking of putting down some sheets of plasterboard then tiling it. Is this a good idea if not, what would you suggest? Thanking You Bridget

chip off all the high bits of the floor ( concrete or whatever is making it uneven ) and go to wickes and get self leveling compound. do what it says on the bag and pour it on the floor it will level its self and u can walk on it after 2 hours
