hi there i found out that i had the shower was not sealed around the unit

around the shower unit i found out that they did not seal it properly that caused that water was going in the wall so it showed in the living room i took all the wall paper of so i have patches on the wall that when i paint it is not drying whats your advice please

Hi, You'll need to let the wall dry completely before painting. Even then you may find that a stain shows through the emulsion. There are specially designed stain block paints which you can apply before painting your wall, however I find that painting the affected area with an oil based undercoat (and letting it dry) before emulsion is more effective than most stain blocks. Hope this helps.

fully agree with paul. Solvent based paint, let it dry over night, then 2 coats of paint you already have on the wall. But fix the leak source first!!!

hi yeah let the walls dry out 1st, then put a coat of gloss paint over the stained area, once the gloss paint as dried give it a light rub down and then paint the wall/ceiling in the colour you want, that normally works for me
