Just did a mist coat using silk emulsion instead of Matt, how can I fix it?

Hi, just did a couple of most coats of silk emulsion on brand new plaster walls and ceilings. I want the finish to be Matt, any idea what I need to do? Thanks Mark, Do I sand it down to plaster?

Dear siya
You should never put silk on to new plaster, what you should do now is gently rub it down with fine sandpaper. buy yourself some contract emulsion apply the contract emulsion then fill any dents and imperfections let this dry, then once again rub down walls with fine sandpaper and apply two coats of emulsion of your choice. hope this helps. mark of Decotile
