Insulate a chimney breast so I can mount a TV
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.50 PM
I have done some research & it seems like if I insulate the chimney breast around where the TV would sit, then the heat won't leach through the brick work then into the TV. How would I go about insulating the chimney breast so I could achieve this. Currently there is a working wood burner that uses the chimney. Along with the insulation, I would need a thick mantle to also help prevent too much heat leaching into the brick work around the TV/ Any comments?

Hi.
I wouldn't chance mounting a t v on a working fireplace.
I have always told potential customers not to as problems do arise, even with it insulated.
