Damp Proofing

Ingress of water between floor & wall in 1990s garage.

Anonymous user 23 February 2024 - 2.51 PM

In extreme rain and wet weather water appears to come from the small gap between floor & wall in our garage. The concrete floor butts up quite closely to the wall, and there appears to be no wetting or soaking of the plasterboard on the wall. Rain water simply wells up from the gap, but will drain away later if left to escape naturally. The exterior ground level on one wall is probably too high, but digging it out is not practical. Besides, the water appears to flow from other points on the perimiter of the floor slab. What I'm hoping for is something injectable/insertable into the wall/floor gap to block the flooding, and keep the water under the slab until it drains away naturally as observed. Suggestions welcome please.

You can seal the gap with Adiseal then a small fillet of mortar with integral waterproofed, once set it can be further coated with Cromopol. Hope this answers your question. Adiseal is the best product I have used that comes in a tube that fits a skeleton gun, it sets/cures in around 6 hours and is far superior than any mastic or silicone
