Combi Boiler or Conventional Boiler for a 5 bedroom house
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.33 PM
Currently, I have a 5 bedroom house but the room size is not big. 80+ squire meters in all and have three shower room. Two of them run by the hot water and one by electricity. My current boiler is the conventional system boiler with a cylinder and I have got two problems. 1. the overheating button keeps pop out... 2. Around the cylinder, lots of noise Then I am considering to upgrade the system. Is the combi boiler powerful enough to provide the hot water?

Q1. the overheating button keeps pop out...
This is caused by poor circulation by build up of sludge/debris in your heating circuit and boiler. Solution: Power flush system and boiler
Q2. Around the cylinder, lots of noise
This is related to previous Q & A
A combi boiler even though will serve your heating system well, it will not provide
sufficient enough hot water to satisfy your demand. Strongly recommend a 'system' boiler and an un-vented cylinder suitably sized.

Hi you might wish to invest in a condensing boiler, much more efficient and will save you money in the long run. Have a look Worcester type they come with a 7 year warranty.
Hope this helps
