Toilet leak from pan outlet

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.05 PM

Hello, I recently had a new close coupled toilet fitted (2 months ago) and it has just recently started leaking water between the pan outlet and the soil pipe. There is sealant around the join which is coming away and this is, I think the problem. My questions are Is sealant the best way to protect a join like this ? And Whats the best way to repair this leak now, More sealant or something better? Thanks in advance Ollie

Did you carry out the W.C install or employ a plumber?

You should not need any sealant between the pan and pan connector. My suspicion is that pan outlet and pan connector are two different heights, you may need an offset pan connector.
