Gas Works

Siting a LPG boiler which converts to natural gas

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM

I need to resite from FLOOR standing oil to a gas boiler (Glow worm) have a ventilation hole near the floor outside wall. Space at a premium, safety very important-so can I put under a std height kitchen unit. Can it sit on the base of the unit or do you need to remove the base so it sits directly on floor inside the cupboard, will the Boiler get very hot....Child safety, Ventilation (have a pet Degus in kitchen-not poss to relocate) & Corgi reg maintenance & access , do I need a louvred door for ventilation? Is there a v loud CO alarm so I can hear it through a wall & door or in garden, current Fire Angel is inadequate, is it possible to connect any to House Alarm which is monitored, or is the new HIVE from British Gas an option for detecting, so you do not come home to a house filled with lethal afterburn gases, if you have to go into hospital suddenly & heating is on timer (& you forget to switch to manual). Please help, thank you very much.

You would be better informed by inviting a Gas Safe engineer with LPG qualification to attend and survey the works you have highlighted, most will be happy to attend FOC.
