What to put under floor boards for insulation?

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.09 PM

I have a floor boarded hall way. Underneath the floor boards is a huge gap before the ground. I want to insulate this somehow, hoping I don't have to take up all the floor boards. thanks for your time.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

I always use a product called Celotex. i have just used it on my own house and the difference is massive. you can use 70mm board and it has the same or more value than 300mm of loft roll. in the hard to get areas you can fill with expanding foam to maintain the u values. whilst the floor is up its advisable to check that all heating pipes are lagged for further heat loss savings. happy to have a look or answer more questions
