Lack of space in the house for a boiler

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.51 PM

Hi i am looking at options for installing a new boiler. We currently have a back boiler and the gas fire has given up. The house is very small and recently renovated so I'm limited as to chasing pipe work etc. I was looking at putting the boiler in the pantry, that's a free standing brick cupboard 2 feet from the kitchen that contains a full size fridge with plenty of room to spare. I would say internal dimensions would be 1m* 3m*2m also has a solid stone roof. Would this be a problem with building regs? Can the gas pipe run under the flags to enter the house? Can i tap off the cooker gas supply, to supply the boiler?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You are fishing for installation tips! Please consult a Gas Safe engineer to personally survey your intended installation and he will advise you accordingly. Be aware that it is a criminal offence to break in to a gas way if you are not qualified!!!!!

Ask a gas engineer. It is sometimes possible to fit a boiler in the attic space
