Low hot water pressure in shower - from gravity fed system

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.33 PM

Hello our hot water pressure in the shower is awful. Cold water is excellent. cold water tank is in the loft hot water cylinder is in the bathroom shower attached to mixer taps over the bath would a pump improve things? would an electric help? Are there any other solutions? I have read about elevating the cold tank but i guess this would not help in this situation? Also, due to ceiling height we have quite a long hose from taps to shower head - could this be affecting things? Many thanks

The simplest and most cost effective solution is to fit a shower booster pump, this pump connects directly to your hot water cylinder and cold water storage tank pipe work. Can be an easy job for a competent plumber, or a confident DIY'r Make sure you choose the correct pump to suit your system!
