What kind of plans do I need for side extension?
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.33 PM
We're looking to do a side extension to the kitchen in our terraced house. We believe we'll only need building regs, we're waiting for final confirmation from the council. We do need to get drawings done, especially for the roof. Do I need an architect or a structural engineer to draw up the plans? Thanks

Hi,you will need a structural engineer if you are removing the wall of your house into the side return this will involve steelwork and he will advise you what size steels you need.
