Water running all over wetroom floor.
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.50 PM
The slope to the drain in the wet room is not pronounced enough and the water runs all over the floor. What can I use to contain the water under the shower area? Some kind of trunking that would stick to the floor. I am not in a position to do major work.

Hi there, my advice would be to go to a plumbers merchant or your local DIY store and try to find a chrome beading. You can get nice chrome beads which protrude about 5-10mm high which should be enough to contain the water. Thoroughly dry the wet room floor and apply a thin bead of silicone to the under side of the bead. Also buy a tub of silicone cleaning wipes to wipe off any excess residue. I would also recommend buying a bottle of "one shot" drain unblocker because if the waste has no run on it the hair and other debris will gather very quickly in the pipe and add to the flow problem. Add the drain cleaner every 8 weeks and you should see a difference. Always read the label. I hope this helps and good luck, Brian
