fitters walked off job when asked to work faster

we employed local firm to refurbish bathroom, we supplied new toilet, sink and shower cubicle also all the tiles for floor and walls. they took three days to do plumbing under floor plus another two days to tile floor and 2/3rds of walls. They wouldn't give a price for job just said it is £250 a day. we had been without a shower for nine days and getting washed in kitchen sink, so asked if they could concentrate on fitting shower .they up and left. they messed up the plumbing for the shower, the tiling up to the window was terrible and they broke our stop tap .can we sue. We paid £1650 for 5 days work

Hello, Im working on my own and complete bathroom installation with high standard finish im doing in 5 or 6 days. In our job as bathroom fitter we need to work very close with house owners about toilet, bath or shower. In my opinion You had the right to claim to take faster execution.This behavior was unprofessional.
