Can I stop neighbour from using road I own to park his cars?

Part of the land I own has a road at the end of the garden. I clearly own this as is shown on the title deeds, however my next door neighbor has been using this road to access and park his cars. Can I stop him from doing so, ie put up a gate?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

These situations are rarely simple. It may be that your neighbour has a right of way so putting up a gate could cause more problems than you have already.

Providing you own the land and the deeds are in your name you can do as you like but don't brake the law as there could be restrictions so I'd go to the council first.
