drains covers in gardens

I found a drain in my garden; 6 by 6 dauntless cover. does anyone know what it's for?

'6 by 6' do you mean 6" x 6" or 60 cm x 60 cm ?. I would suggest you mean the later, if so then it will be a sewer and or storm drain cover.

i would suspect its covering a main foul or storm drain running across your back gardens. Easy way to find this out is contact the water utility company they will have plans and locations of the manholes as long as the drain is not a really old system in which case plans may not exsist hope this helps.
