Is a raft foundation as complicated as it looks?

Is a raft foundation as complicated as it looks? I have one to construct, I am competent at most groundworking tasks but this is new to me and looks rather specialist. Take it on or leave well alone?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi, Many things to think about before you start, to start with the amount of muck to be excavated and removed from site, hardcore fill this can either be level or it can be shaped, the hardcore as to be blinded with 50mm of concrete, the reinforcing can be straight mesh which can be laid straight in after the shuttering surround as been fixed, if there is a cut and bent toe beam the shuttering must go in after the steel is fixed or you will not get you corner and T junction bars in, lastly it as to be poured in one with all of the concrete being vibrated so the shuttering must be solid or oops, access to the raft for concrete is important or do you need a pump to place it, done hundreds in my time they are never easy, Peter
