replacing a leaking radiator 450mm high, but can only see radiators at 400 or 500 mm sizes
Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.50 PM
the radiator I need to replace is a single, measuring 1000mm W by 450mm high. I can only see radiators at either 400 or 500 mm sizes, have I measured wrongly and which size should I use to replace the radiator?

450mm high radiators are a non standard size, but are available. Try trawling the internet for stockists, I found several suppliers.

It doesn't matter which one you choose, as long as you install it correctly ie bleed each radiator in the house once it is in to maintain water pressure in the system is full.
The brackets will be different aswell I should imagine so abit of time will be needed to get that right.
The 500m is bigger so will be warmer than the 400mm.
Hope this helps
