HOW CAN I STOP THE PAINT COMING OFF MY GARDEN WALL - I THINK THE PROBLEM MAYBE NO TANKING BEHIND THE WALL

Anonymous user 01/03/2024 - 2.37 PM

HOW CAN I STOP THE PAINT COMING OFF THE WAL - LOTS OF EARTH BEHIND THE WALL SO IMPOSSIBLE TO GET AT THE REAR SO IS THERE ANYTHING I CAN DO TO THE FRONT - IT'S NOT SO BAD IN SUMMER BUT IN WINTER OR WHEN IT RAINS THE PAINT PEELS OFF IN CHUNKS. THE WALL IS STARTING TO LOOK HORRID NOW.ITS PAINTED CREAM SO THIS DOES NOT HELP THINGS. I NEED A PERMANENT SOLUTION. THANKS

Garden Walls don't have a dpc so water rises up wall from ground causing paintto peel Install bell drip 150mm above gl so water doesn't bridge Don't rise into render

Hello whatever you do to the front will not stop damp penetration creeping through from the back .no point in putting in dpc if the earth comes above it.A final solution is trench out the rear area and tank there is no other easy remedy.
