How do you remove brick paint from brickword to resore the orginal brick (outside brickwork)
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 2.36 PM
Brickwork has been painted with brick paint to keep out the damp. Want to remove the paint and resore the orginal brick to their former glory. Then want to seal the brickwork, take out old black mortar and repoint with fresh cement.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi ,there are special chemicals/paint strippers you can use which won't damage the brick work or you could use a jet wash.

Get a "chemical paint peel" from your local paint specialists (not diy stuff) apply according to instructions and remove and that should take it back to bare brick.
