Can I attach a lattice fence to neighbours garage

Please can anyone let me know if I am allowed to screw a lattice 6' x 6' fence panel onto my neighbours garage. The garage has been built right up to the boundary wall so if we were to put in fence posts I am worried it would damage the footings/foundations. My neighbours are not nice people so I cannot ask them. I was just wondering what my legal options are. Thanks

Please be assured that putting in fence posts will not damage or affect the footings

If the garage is now the official boundary then I would just go ahead and pin it on, they won't notice anyway, it is only trellis and easily removed if need be.
