Can architect provide detailed drawings from engineer's drawings or do they have to visit the house?

I have drawings from a structural engineer for the removal of an internal wall. My builder has requested more detailed drawings. Could you please confirm if an architect can provide these drawings from the engineer's drawings or does he/she have to visit the house? Thanks

Hello,
What kind of additional detail is the builder asking for?
If the structural engineer has done its job properly, the builder will know beyond reasonable doubt what he can and cannot demolish without compromising the structural integrity of the house, including where to install beams/columns/foundations (if any are deemed necessary). Is that so?
If the answer is yes, then the only pending information should be of a visual impact / decorative nature.
If your goal is to avoid an architect's visit and the associated cost, then you could provide the Architect with the structural engineer drawing and a detailed series of photographs of the affected wall and surrounding floor / adjoining walls / ceilings / door frames / staircases etc.... Both close ups and overviews.
The architect should then confirm to you by return that he has sufficient information or may ask you a few more pictures.
I hope this helps!

Hello,
If I was to produce drawings from an engineers drawing and not visit the property then my insurance would not pay out if there was a problem. I would need to survey the property and then either draw it myself or at the very least check my survey against the engineers drawing to validate the drawing was accurate.
kind regards
Andrew
