Laminate flooring on top of carpet

I have got laminate flooring and I put it on top of carpet. I have concrete floor will the laminate flooring be ok on top of it with out under lay?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If the carpet is a felt back and fitted without underlay, you should be ok, however if the carpet has underlay you may get too much movement and it may give you problems.

You cannot lay underlay over carpet. It will not support it's own movement on the joints as it is not strong enough hence why a laminate underlay is only 3-5mm. I would never lay any time of floor over a carpet and if a tradesman done a job for me like that I would politely ask him to leave and never to return!!
