Bathroom Fitting

Refit existing shower cubicle (swapping shower in ensuite and corner jacuzzi in bathroom)

Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.07 PM

We have a shower in the ensuite and a corner jacuzzi in the family bathroom Is it possible to swap these over? When people come to stay, they want showers to come on our room and the bath is just for us Is this too much hassle/money? Also, I want a wetroom feel to the new shower, so can the doors still be used without the bottom tray bit, but fitted into the floor somehow? The shower cubicle is quite big with a curved door.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Embo,in answer to your questions: 1) in theory, yes it's certainly possible to switch these over. Although it would, in practice, require checking other things such as tiling, sizes etc. 2) it really depends how much of a value it is worth to you, how often do people come over to stay? If other works are needed to complete the work (ie, tiling etc.) then the costs would increase. 3) Unfortunatly, as with your other questions, without seeing to items (in this case, the screen) it is unclear whether you can actually re-use the screen. Personally though, I would invest in a wet room screen if space allows. It would really be worth your while getting a professional out to take a look. If you intend on doing the work yourself though, please be considerate and let the tradesman know before he/she go's out. They may prefer to give you advice by phone/email after viewing pictures, or charging you a small amount for a visit and advice. Good luck. Steve
