Poor hot water flow rate and pressure after replaced shower pump
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.49 PM
I have just replaced our shower pump, single value, with a twin valve. A new cold water feed from the loft tank was installed and the hot water was connected to the HW cylinder, via a Surrey Flange on the top. When turning the shower on, the pump, works intermittently. Plus now the pressure in the hot water taps are poor, to the point of the water flow stops. The taps are not connected to the pump. Can anyone help.

You have fitted the wrong type of shower booster pump. you have probably fitted a positive head pump instead of a negative head pump. Could be a costly mistake if the merchants wont accept the pump back!
Copy & paste link below, it will help you select the correct pump:

Make sure that you have the pump connections the correct way round flow in at the side and to the shower at the top
Allso the flow from the surry flange to the pump should come from the top of the flange and not the side outlet
