Concrete floor in bedroom dropped about 10mm in 14 years
Anonymous user 03/03/2024 - 3.07 PM
Our concrete floor in our bedroom has dropped slightly by approximately 10mm over a period of 14 years. What do you think would cause this.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

A drop of 10mm is nothing to worry about its probably just settlement which happens over a period of time, it may pay you to check if you have a large tree or bushes out side the house where the sinkage is prominent as these will suck out the moisture and cause the ground to shrink

Ground shrinkage. If that's the only symptom then do not worry about it. If it bothers you then have the floor screeded.
