different color in corners when painting walls

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.32 PM

I am painting a room that has not long been painted by someone else but I seem to be getting a different color when dry more of a darker colour in the corners. I am painting white on white, can some one help? thanks Andy.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Some times it's due to the fact when cutting in around edges of the room the brush with put a thicker coat of paint on, where as the roller will stretch the paint out more this will make the edges look more solid. It's very common with white as it does take more coats to cover well. So I would suggest putting an extra coat of white on with roller and leave edges how they are. Hope this helps

as the previous painter said but you could go over where you have cut in with an emulsion radiator roller make sure paint is in roller not dry to blend in with texture of rollered areas at an educated guess I bet its dulux
