Dormer Window flat roof done in felt
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.03 PM
I have recently had a dormer window roof ( 3 x 1.5 metres approx) redone with felt and also the wood under the felt by a recognised roofing contractor. My qestion is at the back of the roofing felt where it goes under the roof tiles to about a third to the front ot window roof there are large puddles of water on most of the span left after it stops raining and stays there until it dries out through normal evaporation. Could you please tell me if this is OK or should all the water run off without leaving large puddles. The roofing contractor has quoted on the invoice a guarantee of 18 years. Thank you

Ur flat roof has to have a slight fall on it ,if it falls back in to ur roof it needs some sort direction to fall down the back sides what will run down ur existing roof , so no puddles after rain as gone , if u have a gutter system on our dormer then no rain should sit on top flat roof it should have a slight lean falling towards the gutter. I would say its not right and a rubberise flat roof its 50 years guaranteed on the rubber.
