Reasonable to ask a builder to view house considering making an offer on to provide an estimate on costs?
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.32 PM
Hi, my husband and I have viewed a 3 bed house (SK12 area in Cheshire) that we are considering making an offer on but want an idea of how much the necessary refurb work would cost. Essential would be bathroom, kitchen and re-wiring. Would it be reasonable to ask a builder to view the house to provide an estimate on costs? Thanks heather

Asking a builder to view the house is not unreasonable or unheard of but unless he is going to do the work for you you must agree a price with him for his time and effort and for putting his cost/estimate together
