No notification of central heating installation works done
Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.03 PM
I have had c/h installed by a Gas Safe reg fitter. I have paid for the work by BACS and have details of the installation on a Benchmark booklet. I have no further documentation. Now 2 years on I have discovered I should have a notification certificate which would be required if I want to sell the house. Is this necessary and is it me who will have to pay?
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi
Are you sure the installer was gas safe registered? Do you have his gas number or contact details? If you do I would try contacting him first. Try contacting gas safe to find out if he was registered. If he's not registered and carried out gas work, he should be reported. If you don't have his details I'm afraid you will have to pay for a gas test and certification.
Good luck
