How take out the handles in a viking tap mixer

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.02 PM

Hello, I have a leaky mixer tap from Viking [for an image see below] http://www.abitat.co.uk/viewproduct-89.htm but I cannot take the handles out to get to the seats. There does not appear to be any screws or anything I can unscrew. Any help highly welcome.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Mixer taps are mostly designed not to be disassembled (at least not with DIY tools). You could use a sharp knofe or a small flat screwdriver to attempt removing the round caps in the middle of the handle (the one showing hot & cold) to gain access to holding screw. However if your tap is leaking this would not sort out the issue and attempting to further dismantle the assembly will very likely damage the tap. Best replace the whole faulty item.
