Sand and cement for interior walls

It's always 2 coats of sand and cement until a finish can go over the top. P.v.a. the wall or better bonding agent. When the seal is nearly dry, apply 1st render coat, we call this scratch coat 6/8mm thick. 24 hours later apply 2nd sand and cement coat 10 /15 mm thick. You must key up the scratch coat making grove lines the whole wall lines made have to be vertical. Use a scratcher. Think about adding a little waterproof in the mix. U can not skim on the top render coat for 24 hours at least, 48 is better. Use 2 washed plastering sand use 2 building sand use 1 part cement if u won't, a measuring jug of lime in the top render coat. Help reduce cracking drying out too quick. If you are doing big areas, use level buckets filled up with sands e.t.c you must have the same amounts watch mix or can various different colour/strength in watch mix.

Hi You should only need one coat of sand and cement, or if the elec has used 25 mm box you may need 2 cost on walls that have sockets on them if no box you can get away with one coat, use hard wall plaster as well as you do not need mixer. Do not let dry to much or you will need to pva the walls, then put on 2 costs of multi finish, best not to let it dry out,
