Floor standing boiler and landlord's gas cert
Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.32 PM
I have a Potterton Diplomat 30/34 in a 50ish year old purpose built flat that goes into a shared flue. There are 5 floors, with only ours (1st floor) and the flat on 5th floor going into it. Do I have to replace the boiler to get a landlord's gas safety certificate?

This question is most definitely answered by a Gas Safe engineer who needs to personally survey the installation especially the flue way to ensure it is safe and conforms to current building regulations. Also the regulations concerning boiler flues in ducts have changed recently so this may also be a factor.
