What to use to refresh wooden cladding on the exterior of our property?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.49 PM

Hi, I'd very much welcome some hints as what to use to revitalise the exterior wooden cladding on the front and side of our semi. I tried using creosote last summer and it had little effect and just soaked straight in, I'm looking to protect the wood and treat some unsightly green patches that have appeared on the south facing side if the property. What's the best product to use and where should I get it? Thanks for your advice. Paul.

Hi Paul, Fungicidal wash for the green areas wash and scrub then leave 24hrs for it to work followed by a coat of clear wood preservative, then sadolin classic or sadolin extra wood finish 2 or 3 coats. Hope this helps Christopher

Hi Paul, The best product I have use in the same situation is barn paint by bedec, you don't need to use fungicidal wash its design to go straight over greens areas and last for years. You can purchase it from ridgeons. Oliver
