How much would a wired fire alarm system cost?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.49 PM
I have a 3 bedroom terrace house. 3 bedrooms, bathroom upstairs 2 rooms and kitchen downstairs. How much would a wired fire alarm system cost? I am considering options on renting out or selling.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

You could add an intruder alarm system with wireless smokes, as the wireless smokes can be interlinked on a Texecom Premier elite system and those wireless smokes have integrated sounders.
For selling the property I cant seeing it make much difference but the local estate agents can tell you that.
As for renting usually a maintained smoke is adequate in a house.
However multiple occupancy, flats or hotels/b&b is different.
You can check with your local council/ fire brigade if there any specifics you must have in your area for what you want do with your home.
Some fire brigades give out free battery operated smoke devices.

Hi, From what you are describing unless you are going to turn in to flats or hotel or rent out as multiple occupancy, a fire alarm system is not required. Simply a couple of interlinked smoke/heat detectors will be adequate. Depending on where you are will depend on cost and of course how many are needed.
