Skimming wall underneath kitchen units would leave thick lines on the wall?

Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.49 PM

I have taken the kitchen tiles down & I was told that the wall underneath the units had to be skimmed & around the window, but they also told me that they couldn't do just those parts because it would leave thick lines on the wall so they said the whole wall had to be skimmed, is this true? Or is there an easier way because some of the walls have been painted...please help!!

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Coll I agree fully with dean. You can just blend the new plaster in to the old plaster, Thanks John

No it would not leave thick lines on the the wall, as you would feather it in to old wall.

They ARE trying to extort more money out of you. It would not leave lines if plaster was feather in to original wall. You would not see anything. Get another plaster as he's trying to get more £££ from u.

As above. I've done this and you could never tell that the whole wall wasn't plastered.
