Roofer or handyman to put back slipped roof tile?
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.48 PM
Do I need a roofer or just a handyman to put back a roof tile which has slipped down the roof? It's a bungalow so obviously not as high up as a house.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Handyman are ok in and about the house but advise you to get someone qualified ie roofer to do it properly and make no mistakes putting it back in.

Without disrespect to the maintenance and handymen out there, unless they have experience working alongside roof tilers/slaters I very much doubt they know and understand the reasons behind the methods and materials used.
Why take the risk ? Would you trust a roofer to do the brakes on your car?

Unless their profile on here states they have roofing as a trade then no. But me myself am a handyman who does roofing work👍
