Shower pump wont come on unless I start with cold setting on thermostatic shower (Jetforce 75 shower pump)

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.02 PM

I have a Jetforce 75 shower pump. It has worked with no problem powering two thermostatic showers for years and recently it only comes on in one shower if I start the water running cold and then turn the heat up. In the other shower I do the same but the pump cuts out before the water gets hot. Should I replace the pump or could it be something else?

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Could be the thermostatic shower mixer is scaled up? reducing the flow and tripping the pressure switch in the pump.

Flow switch is sticking inside the pump

I think the key words here are "worked for years", it does sound very much like the pump is on its last legs. Just my opinion, thanks
