Glow Worm combi boiler losing pressure - who to call out

Hi, my 6 year old boiler is losing pressure a lot at the moment. We've always had to occasionally top it up, but recently it has been very regular - once a day for the last week or so, and today it needed topping up this morning and again this evening. It's dropping to around 0.3. There is no obvious leak, but we are going to search thoroughly before calling someone out. My question is about who to call out; we have British Gas cover, which will need renewing in about 3/4 weeks. They have serviced it the last 2 years, but looking at answers to other people's similar questions on here, the pressure release valve seems to be something that needs looking at. I don't know whether to go to BG, or whether it needs a GlowWorm specialist, in which case I might stop the Homecare and use that £200+ on an expert. Any advice much appreciated.

The boiler Expansion Vessel needs pumping up with a foot pump, to 1 bar of air. Get BG to do this, this is what you pay your £200 a year for. Don't let them sell you a new boiler!

It really sounds like the expansion vessel has failed. You could try recharging it with a hand pump same as you would pump up a bicycle tyre and you can probably get step by step instructions for this on you tube but I suspect it has actually failed and if it's a budget repair, then you could just get an off the shelf expansion vessel and have it plumbed into the heating circuit, wherever it's easy to fit. If you have 3/4weeks left on your b/g cover why do you not get them to do the repair before your cover expires.
