Move economy 7 water heater to loft
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.48 PM
Hi, I have an economy 7 water cylinder on the 2nd floor of my 2 floor maisonette. It is in a small cupboard right next to the bathroom. I would like to move the E7 water cylinder to the loft and convert the cupboard to a shower. Is this feasible? Many thanks Mike

Hi Mike, What you propose is definitely possible. Depending on the type of cylinder you have will determine if there would be a difference in hot water pressure by doing so. If you cylinder is combined (cold water header tank is attached to it) then hot water pressure will remain the same however, If your cold water header tank is in the loft you will see a reduction in hot water pressure. Of course there will be pipework and electrical alterations to take into account. Good Luck
