taking up paving stones in yard to create flowerbed
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.48 PM
Hi, my question is mainly about which type of tradesman would be most suitable to approach. I have a small paved yard and would like to have a small area of flower bed/soil, would like to know whether a groundworker would be a suitable person to come and look at the practicalities of taking up paving/checking for any pipes underneath. Thanks.
Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

If it's in the ground, always ask a ground worker, you wouldn't ask a ground worker to plaster or do plumbing work or put a roof

Landscaper / general builder / ground worker or handyman/gardener. To be honest it's a job any person can undertake who can do a bit of manual graft and can repair any mishaps with surrounding slabs. Just make sure they have public liability in place and your be absolutely fine, it's a simple job and it is one of the first jobs I set my apprentices/ labourers when they start with me. Not a high cost job. Hope this helps
