Fitting hardwood flooring (without removing skirting boards)
Anonymous user 23/02/2024 - 2.48 PM
I am thinking about laying 50 -55 square metres of hardwood flooring to four rooms (Lounge, 2 x bedrooms, hall) in a flat. The flat walls have just been plastered. Could this work be done 1) Without removing the skirting boards? 2) Could the skirting boards be cut in situ to fit the floorboards underneath with the 10mm required space? 3) Could this work be done without using thresholds i.e. continuing the flooring from room to room to provide a seamless finish ? Thank you in advance! The flat is in Edinburgh ---------------------------- Many thanks for the reply - it is something to think about!
