Low pressure to shower - will replumbing to mains make any difference?

Anonymous user 14/03/2024 - 2.32 PM

Just had a new electric shower installed, fairly low power (8.5kw). It won't produce any hot water as the 'low pressure' warning light is being displayed (the manual says if the l/p warning light is on then the shower will not operate the heating elements). The shower is connected to the gravity fed water supply rather than the mains supply. Will re-plumbing it to the mains make any difference? I'd prefer not to get a pump if I don't have to because of the expense.

Are you a tradesperson and able to answer this question?

Hi Yeah plumbing it in to your mains cold feed will definitely make it work. Hope this helps Phil

Electric showers will need mains fed water to operate. As Phil has said - definitely make it work!
