Central Heating

My central heating and hotwater are reversed

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.01 PM

When we bought our house, our builder replaced our motorised valve (3-port mid position). Since then when we switch on central heating, we get hot water and vice versa. However everything works fine but in reverse. i.e. I need to switch on hot water button to get heating!!! Done some investigation, looks like the pipe on which motorised vale is mounted, B end with the manual lever sticking goes to CH, A-end goes to HW Cylinder. Any suggestions from experts here

He has fitted the 3 port valve the wrong way. 'B' port goes to cylinder & 'A' port goes to your heating (radiators)
