Wall under upstairs bay window developed cracks at both sides

Anonymous user 28/02/2024 - 3.01 PM

the wall beneath my upstairs bay window has developed cracks at both sides from beneath the window sill to the floor level. The wall is of breeze block construction inside with hung tiles outside between the upper and lower bays. the lead flashing has been pulled outwards at the top only as the wall has moved and gaps are now visible. there are no cracks anywhere on the outside of the house. the upvc window above fitted 3 years ago is perfectly vertical and has not moved. the breeze block wall does not appear to be connected to the main walls with anything other than mortar. house is a 3bed semi built in 1955. i think this problem has been present for a while and am sure there has been no movement since i first noticed problem about 2 months ago. will it be ok to try and strap the top breeze blocks to the main side walls som. ehow so the lean will not worsen then fill the cracks and replaster.

you will have yo buy what are called helibars which are stainless steel twisted rods.what you will need to do is grind the mortar line about 10mm deep place helibar in mortar gap and fill gap with resin in a tube, this will hold everything stable
